BeiGene Senior Specialist, Materials Planning & Management in Hopewell, New Jersey

General Description:

The Materials Management Sr. Specialist will be responsible for managing the material planning process, creating and confirming purchase requisitions within BeiGene’s ERP, collaborating with Procurement to ensure delivery timings are acceptable and confirm purchase orders are placed, manage GMP/SAP coded supply levels for the site as necessary and re-order as needed. The candidate will provide any support as related to material readiness for manufacturing e.g. collaborates closely with Warehouse to confirm material inventory accuracy, reviews SAP inventory levels and verifies material readiness with Supply Chain according to the site production plan. The incumbent will also ensure any issues/concerns are highlighted and communicated timely. There will be an expectation that the candidate will provide problem solving resolution to possible issues.

The candidate will be involved with managing or supporting the gowning vendor for the site to ensure production re-usable garments are available to support production activities. The candidate will provide data and metrics to support inventory status overviews are visible and available to the site. The candidate will also act as the Supply Chain SME for SAP/ERP and will work on process improvement efforts to streamline processes or serve as lead on new systems related implementations.

This role will also focus on managing Master Data for the site which includes maintaining data accuracy, manages the request/change process, list visibility, completes materials request applications for new materials or changes.

Essential Functions of the job:

  • Collaborate with functional teams to ensure material needs are met in support of production demands.

  • Must feel comfortable with presenting data, updates and new procedures.

  • Skilled in creating metrics to visualize material levels in support of production needs as well as creating forecasting & planning tools such as depletion model, reporting KPIs.

  • Grow and foster relationships with all functional areas to support MFG operations.

  • Working within SAP and MRP systems for material ordering, management and planning.

  • Performing necessary inventory reporting activities.

  • Support deviation management & resolution activities and change controls. Must be familiar with using quality systems such as, Veeva.

  • Create, review, revise related SOP, WI, plans, reports, as necessary.

  • Participate in site planning activities e.g. Align with the site production team or other global teams to confirm production plans are feasible.

  • Support and participate in any inspection audits.

  • Support with training related activities, as required.

  • Provides support to the logistics lead for any logistics related activities related to inbound and outbound material/product transfers.

  • Ability to work outside of role and engage in other tasks and opportunities, as needed.

  • Ability to work on new projects and engage in process improvement initiatives or manage and execute any site protocol activities i.e. OPEX/CAPEX.

  • Perform any other duties asked to support operations.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma & Minimum of 5 years of experience with material management, supply planning and inventory management activities

  • Experience working in the biotechnology field, specifically large molecules/biologics, mABS

  • Experience working with ERP required

  • Familiar with cold chain and working with temperature sensitive materials

  • The ability to work well within a dynamic environment and adapt to rapid changes

  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stake holders

  • Proven written and verbal communication skills

  • High attention to detail and great organizational skills

  • Able to multi-task preferred

  • Experience with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice)

  • Must have a good understanding of GDP (Good Documentation Practice)

  • Comfortable with data analytics, KPIs and presenting information

  • Comfortable or proficient working with MS Microsoft (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)

  • The ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form and present to an audience preferred

  • The ability to work well within a team environment preferred

  • Prior audit experience from a known regulatory agency is preferred but not necessary preferred

Computer Skills:

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, experience with SAP. Prefer to have advanced skills in other analytical software’s such as Smart Sheet and Power BI, preferred.

Other Qualifications:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs

Travel: 10%
