BeiGene Director, Supply Chain in Hopewell, New Jersey

The Supply Chain Director role will provide leadership for all elements of the supply chain, materials management, warehousing and distribution teams. This position reports directly to the General Manager (Site Head) and is a site leadership position at Hopewell, NJ. This role will include being an active and contributing member of the Site Leadership Team as well as working closely with senior management across the Global Tech Operations Supply Chain teams. The expectation of this role is to work collaboratively with other functional teams to assure that the site material needs are fulfilled, and that all inbound and outbound goods are securely and effectively managed. This will include developing a detailed strategy to effectively support the site manufacturing schedule. This role is based full-time in Hopewell, NJ.

Essential functions of the job:

  • Responsible for all flows, from suppliers to commercial including forecasting, production planning, scheduling, internal and external logistics and transportation.

  • Responsible for material planning and production planning to avoid stock-outs.

  • Manage the delivery of finished products to logistics warehouse and/or distributors safely, controlled and on-time.

  • Drive Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) operation and culture that ensures that materials and products are controlled according to quality standards.

  • Influence and teach across the organization on best supply chain practices.

  • Rapidly develop methodologies to assure that materials inventory never stops manufacturing but is controlled to not allow unnecessary waste.

  • Attract, develop and retain top talents, fostering an inclusive environment that motivates diverse teams to achieve desired business results.

  • Lead and coach team to drive high performance culture to accommodate rapid and dynamic growth with results in operational excellence and high employee engagement.

  • Closely collaborate with CMC, MS&T, Manufacturing, QC, QA and Regulatory groups.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Yes – leading, mentoring and developing staff is a critical aspect of the role.

Computer Skills:

  • Deep experience with enterprise resource planning software (preferably SAP).

  • MS Office

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS or above in supply chain management (preferred), science, engineering or business.

  • Minimum of 10 years in a supply chain role including a minimum of 5 years of experience in the Life Science/Biotech industry.

  • Minimum of 5 years in a people leadership role.

  • Thorough working knowledge of warehouse operations, flows, and materials transport.

  • Experienced with managing import/export globally (permits, customs, etc.)

  • Experience working in a GMP environment, preferably including external regulatory inspections.

  • As needed basis.
